Biography:

Grow love is the moniker of Denver based artist Robyn Frances. Grow Love specializes in public, commercial, and private murals and commission portraiture. In 2018 Grow Love founded the organization Gow Love International whose mission is to support female and female identifying creatives with mentorship based career building and mural arts training. In 2019 Grow Love co-founded the mural festival Babe Walls. Babe Walls was created to support and promote womxn and non-binary mural and street artists.

+ The Collective is a new arts infused condominium community opening up Winter of 2020 in the RiNo district in Denver. They contracted with ten local artists to create a permanent collection. I painted two 40” x 60” Iris paintings for their permanent collection.

– Community Building Mural Event with Focus Smith- Paha Sapa, Rapid City, South Dakota- August 2020

+ Hired by follow artist Focus Smith, and with the support of the local community of Rapid City, to create a large scale mural in downtown Rapid City. The event was created by Focus to gain more public and community engagement within the arts in public spaces.

+ As a co-founder of the Babe Walls Mural Festival, my contributions included fundraising, sponsorship, skills building for participating artists, artist engagement and collaboration delegation, as well as completing a large scale mural design with two other artists. Planning, organizing, and fundraising from Fall of 2019 to execution in August of 2020.

– Pink Progression Group Exhibition- The Arvada Center- Arvada Colorado- July 2020

+ Invitation by a fellow artist Moe Gram, to collaborate on a multilayered, multifunctional, mixed media installation for one of Arvada Center’s largest exhibitions to date. The Pink Progression took place in several preliminary museums and events spaces in the run up to the Arvada Center’s “Collaborations” exhibition. Involving lectures, speakers, and poets addressing concepts of human rights and equality built on the solidarity established during the womxn’s marches and the 100th anniversary of votes for women. Pink Progression spanned over one year in and around the city of Denver.

– Babe Walls Tennyson Street Mural Project- July 2020

+ Babe Walls paired with the Tennyson neighborhood to create a multi- functioning arts space. They asked members of Babe Walls to come paint outdoor murals on outer walls of a property. I worked with fellow artist Alicia Cardenas to paint the backside of this entire property

– Wellness Winnie- CDPHE- March 2020

+ The Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment asked me to create an original artistic design to wrap one of their mobile wellness RV’s. They wanted to have an inviting aesthetic that would be welcomed into the houseless community providing essential health services and supplies to the public.

– Colorado Health & Environment Mural Project- Redline Arts & Society Grant- 2018-2020

+ I was hired by the Colorado Department of Health and Environment to create a statewide mural project with funding awarded to the department from the Redline Arts & Society Grant. I worked alongside department heads to develop the application process, artists payment structure, and timeline implementation. I was also one of the participating artists headlining the project. From development to execution the project spanned from Fall of 2018 to Spring of 2020.

– Mountain Phoenix Community School- June 2019

+ Mountain Phoenix Community School reached out to me to paint an outdoor mural in the center of their campus. I worked with them to combine the mural project with the arts section of the summer camp they offered the students. The kids help paint the mural and painted rocks as a token of their important contribution.
